Seven Stories is a biannual comics anthology edited by João Sobral and published by O Panda Gordo. Its purpose is to contribute to the dissemination of contemporary practices of comics by showcasing exciting new work by a diverse range of international artists.
The idea behind this fourth issue was to challenge cartoonists who are notable for their remarkable use of colour to make monochromatic comics. Colour is often seen as an upgrade from black and white but editor João Sobral doesn't see it that way. The results couldn't have made him happier and he's now thrilled to share the beauty and artistry of these amazing comics.
Seven Stories 4 features cover artworks by Ema Gaspar, and comics by Mariana Pita, Rosie Brand, Chloé Bertron, Haejin Park, María Medem, Zane Zlemeša, and Jooyoung Kim.
